This author was new to me, but boy did she make a great first impression. This book is hilarious!! The chemistry is wonderful, and the author does a great job keeping you engrossed in the story. It is a lightning fast read and I really hated that it had to end. I am really ready for a sequel.
One touch, one spark, two lives forever changed.
Pine and Azure. The war between the two kingdoms lasted far too long. Peace was finally established, but the survivors would never forget who fought on the front lines. Oliver Sage had a reputation for being a ruthless knight. He’d seen enough death to last a lifetime and worked on putting the past behind him, although not all would let him forget.
Addison was the only daughter of King and Queen Azure. With three brothers, she knew she’d always be protected, but she also wanted to learn how to take care of herself. She was strong, had a good heart, and wanted to be treated as an equal. Magical abilities ran in her family, and she had one no one knew of.
Oliver had given his heart to one princess, until the night he dreamed of another. Addison was the last woman he should desire, especially given who she was. However, what if she wanted him as well? They’d hated each other their entire lives, but suddenly couldn’t resist the desire which built between them. There were also those who didn’t think they should be together. Forbidden romance could only stay hidden for so long in the dark depths of the Pine Forest.
Michelle Dare is a romance author. Her stories range from sweet to sinful and from new adult to fantasy. There aren’t enough hours in the day for her to write all of the story ideas in her head. When not writing or reading, she’s a wife and mom living in eastern Pennsylvania. One day she hopes to be writing from a beach where she will never have to see snow or be cold again.
I love this series! I feel the author had a very vivid world fleshed out in these stories. It was beautifully descriptive and easy to lose yourself in. The dialogue flows well and the characters are truly unforgettable.
The plot was paced well and very hard to put down. I highly recommend this series and author.
I loved this story. Jedda was a very well developed character. The world was vivid and richly descriptive. It was so easy to believe that you were right there in the story. I would definitely recommend it.
I volunteered to receive and review an ARC of this title.
I have to start by saying this an extremely unique read. In a genre that sometimes doesn’t have stories that really stand out, this one sure does. It is a fabulous YA title, and while it is book 3 in a series, you can totally read it as a standalone. I loved the characters, and the dialogue flowed smoothly.
I was so appreciative that the author gave me a copy, that I couldn’t wait to review it.
So, OMG, I just finished reading Talented. It is my first book by Sophie Davis, and while it does end in a cliffhanger, which normally automatically makes me not continue with a series, it takes nothing away from the story.
The character development and plot here are so good, that the cliffhanger doesn’t matter. The author has penned this tale so well that you fell all the action and emotion right from the beginning and I literally could not stop reading this and finished in just a few hours.
I cannot wait to read the next part, and am in fact “borrowing it through KU” as soon as I finish my review. This is one heck of a thrill ride.
